Donations have always been a source of funding used to enrich the lives of the folks we serve through day trips and recreational activities. Today, however, we must increasingly call on our contributors for donations to help maintain basic services.
Consider the young woman whose day-program funding has been reduced from five to three days a week or the folks whose status is under review and face a gap in essential services. And the man whose need for therapies falls beyond his eligibility. Or the need to replace worn appliances, furniture and fixtures at the most inconvenient moment.

Are my gifts to Sunrise tax deductible?
Yes. Sunrise and its affiliated companies are recognized by the IRS as Tax-exempt organizations and your gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
May I dedicate my donation to a specific person?
Yes. If you desire to honor someone or donate in memory of a loved one, please provide us with particulars when entering information in the Donation Form.
Sunrise will mail a Thank You card to the honoree notifying them that an Honor or Memorial donation was made by you. Additionally, you will also receive a letter acknowledging your gift.
May I apply my donation to a specific Sunrise location?
Yes. We are pleased to apply your donation to a specific Group Home and/or Adult Day Training center or program within a particular city/region. Please provide specific information in the Donations Form to ensure your wishes are honored. If you choose to donate to our General Fund to help us with our operating expenses, please check appropriate box in the Donations Form.
May I make a donation with my credit card or must I write a check?
We accept both forms of payment. If you donate using your credit card, please call (305) 273-3058 for processing. If you prefer to write a check, please make check payable to Sunrise Community, Inc. and mail it to the following address:

Is my credit card information secure?
Sunrise takes every precaution to protect your information. The companies that we have selected to work with in order to process credit card transactions use encryption technology and security protocols.
May I make automatic credit card donations?

I made a donation online and would like to speak to a Sunrise representative. Whom may I call?
Our Development Department staff is available to speak with you Monday through Friday from 8:00am through 6:00pm. You may call 305.273.3063.
How long will it take to receive my donation acknowledgement letter from Sunrise?
It may take up to two (2) weeks for processing and receipt of an acknowledgement letter.
I would like to donate clothing, household items, vehicles, etc.

Do you have a Support Group for family and friends?
Yes. The Supporters of Sunrise group is composed of family and friends who assist in furthering the Sunrise mission and support each other. Quarterly meetings are held in various areas and all members receive a quarterly mailing.
