This is accomplished by developing an infrastructure of comprehensive supports and lifestyle routines that empower individuals, thereby minimizing their feelings of loneliness and helplessness. At Sunrise, we believe that all people should experience the gift of a fulfilling life to include a home, family and friends, education, work and complete acceptance within the communities in which they live.
The Sunrise mission is realized thousands of times every day when each individual we support experiences meaningful and planned routines of daily life. The building of strong relationships between the individuals, their families, the community, and our dedicated staff, further assures our success in achieving the goals of our mission.
As we look into the future, Sunrise understands that in order to be successful in developing and sustaining life enriching experiences for people with disabilities across several states, we require the support of caring volunteers, highly involved local Boards of Trustees and a robust strategy for donor development and fundraising in the communities where we offer services. These initiatives can best be accomplished at local levels through steadfast and responsible grassroots advocacy for people with physical and intellectual challenges.
